Ali Embry is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based out of South Florida. Her style of songwriting is eclectic with various influences, generally falling under the category of Indie Pop. Many of her songs are acoustically written with guitar, and others are written to Electronic or R&B tracks. However, most of her songs have a bluesy/soulful feel to it. Her emotion, raspy vocals, and sultry vibe draw listeners into a unique experience.
Ali has quite a distinctive sound, but some of her major vocal inspirations are Lana Del Rey and Amy Winehouse. She often writes about the rough patches of her life through love, loss, and struggles. "I think its important to write about the deepest corners of my mind, because I know that people can relate and I could potentially help them through it." Ali believes that music saved her from her darkest moments. Her spirituality and passion to help people also play a major role in her songwriting.
Her love for music, as well as acting, originated from her father who was a musician of many instruments; all by ear. She often says that music runs in her blood. Her father passed away from cancer when she was 7 years old, and it was shortly after that she knew she would fulfill his legacy through performing. Ali recently received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Business from Florida Atlantic University, and is constantly writing and recording new music. Her EP "In the Ocean" is available on Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, and more.
